Mariner trumps Kamiak with a pair of Joshes

EVERETT – It was the Josh show Friday night as Mariner defeated Kamiak 45-33 in a Western Conference South game at Mariner High School.

Josh Bollinger and Josh Olson combined to score 25 points and connect on seven 3-point goals for the Marauders.

In the second quarter Mariner outscored the Knights 13-4, closing the quarter on a 10-0 run and never looked back.

“It was a defensive battle, but a win is a win,” said Mariner coach Dexter Griffin.

Bollinger had a game-high 13 points, while Olson scored 12.

Nate Saban led Kamiak with 11 points.

Shorewood 60, Lynnwood 58: Freshman Sean Tracey drove the length of the court with six seconds left, scoring at the buzzer to give Shorewood the home victory.

Senior forward Trent Kristjansen led all scorers with 21 points and 10 rebounds as Shorewood came back to win the Wesco South game after trailing by 10 points in the third quarter.
