LAKEWOOD — Marysville Pilchuck won the 2A District 1 team wrestling title, led by individual champions Garrett Reeves-Turner (120-pound weight class), Joseph Davis (157) and Rodger Jones-Charles-Shelton 175). The Tomahawks will send 14 grapplers to the Class 2A state meet (Mat Classic XXXVI), which begins Thursday at the Tacoma Dome.
Max Woodall (138) and Jimmy Conklin finished first for Lakewood. Conklin dominated, pinning his first two opponents in 19 seconds and 49 seconds before recording his third pin in 1 minute, 35 seconds in the title bout. Hakeim Smalls of Archbishop Murphy won the 285 division.
