Atlanta’s Angel McCoughtry and San Antonio’s Becky Hammon have been named the WNBA’s Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week respectively.
The award was given for games played between July 25 and July 31.
McCoughtry led the Dream to a 2-1 record, averaging a league-high 31.7 points per game, while also averaging 6.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists.
McCoughtry’s efforts have helped get the Dream back into playoff contention in the East.
Like McCoughtry, Hammon led the Silver Stars to a 2-1 record. averaging just over 23 points per game. Hammon scored her season-high of 33 in a 102-91 victory over Phoenix on July 28.
