LYNNWOOD – Brandon Lucero, Eric Fry, Aaron Lee and Nate Thatch all won singles matches Wednesday to lead the Meadowdale boys tennis team to a 7-0 victory over Lynnwood in a Western Conference 3A meet.
Meadowdale has won six of its last eight matches and “the guys are having a lot of fun,” Meadowdale coach Mark Schneider said.
Meadowdale will play Lynnwood again today to finish the season. If Meadowdale wins, the team will shave Schneider’s head.
At the start of the season, Schneider told his team that if it went 8-2 in the first ten games he would let the players shave his head. The team did not reach that goal but Schneider renegotiated with his athletes after the third loss, saying the new goal was to win ten games on the season.
