TACOMA — Connor Hamlett scored a game-high 30 points as the Meadowdale High School boys basketball team stayed alive at the Class 3A state tournament with a 55-43 win over Foster on Thursday in the Tacoma Dome.
Hamlett, a 6-foot-7 senior post, made 10 of 16 shots from the floor and 10-of-12 from the foul line. He also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.
Meadowdale (20-7) led 36-33 going into the final period, then outscored the Bulldogs 19-10 over the final eight minutes, ending Foster’s season.
Darius Page led Foster with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Meadowdale plays either Renton or Mount Rainier at 12:30 Thursday in another loser-out game.
