EVERETT – Meadowdale left no doubt.

The Mavericks claimed a 3A district playoff berth Tuesday night by beating Jackson 76-46 at Jackson High School.

Meadowdale started quickly with 11 points by Tyler Chamberlain in the first quarter and closed out the fourth quarter with 11 points by Julian Williams.

Meadowdale took control early and never looked back as it outscored the Timberwolves in every quarter.

Williams finished with 19 points, including five 3-point field goals for the Marvericks. Chamberlain had 14 points and Taylor Marsh contributed 11 points.

Brent Lillibridge paced Jackson with a team-high 17 points and teammate Chris Keller added 10 points.

Mariner 41, Edmonds-Woodway 37: Forrest Wooley scored six points in a tight fourth quarter to lead Mariner to the Wesco South victory. Teammate Scott Grondahl led all scorers with 10 points. Edmonds-Woodway’s Travis Torgerson also scored six of the Warriors seven fourth-quarter points.
