ARLINGTON — The Meadowdale Mavericks boys basketball team survived a Class 3A District 1 loser-out game Monday night, beating Shorecrest 59-48.
Paul Werner scored a game-high 15 points with seven in the final quarter to seal the victory for the Mavericks.
Meadowdale faces Lynnwood at 6 p.m. Wednesday night at Arlington High School.
The Mavericks made 12 of 14 free throws in the fourth quarter to help secure the victory.
Evan Matteson added 14 points for Meadowdale as Mark Golike led Shorecrest with nine.
