MUKILTEO – Meadowdale and Kamiak split the singles matches, but the Mavericks swept the doubles matches on their way to a 5-2 Western Conference boys tennis victory on Monday afternoon.
The win improved Meadowdale’s league record to 3-0, leaving the Mavericks tied with Edmonds-Woodway and Shorewood for the top spot in the South Division.
Three of the four singles matches went to three sets. One of the most dramatic outcomes was 6-0, 6-7, 6-0 win by Meadowdale’s Aaron Lee over Kamiak’s Dwight Lee in No. 2 singles.
As a team, Meadowdale has lost only three sets all season, two of them in this meet.
Cascade 6, Marysville-Pilchuck 1: Cascade senior Peter Allen kept his undefeated record intact as he disposed of his opponent in straight sets.

Everett 4, Shorecrest 3: At Everett, Mike McKee won a tiebreaker in the first set and went on to a three-set victory in No. 4 singles as the Seagulls notched a Wesco South win over the Scots.
