ANACORTES – Sarah Earling won the 200-yard freestyle and finished second in the 500 freestyle to teammate Shelby Hill, who also won the 200 individual medley to lead Meadowdale to a third-place finish in the Class 3A Northwest District girls swim meet Saturday at Fidalgo pool.
Also for the Mavericks, Brittany Kunze was second in the 200 individual medley and Brittany Zdenek was second in the diving. The Meadowdale 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay teams also finished second and qualified for state.
