I posted a new local racing notebook on Wednesday (see local racing at left), once again clearing out the emails and phone messages.
I’m getting a preview of Saturday’s Northwest Tour race ready to go and also a story on how Lex Johnson, Evergreen Speedway’s new promoter, is settling in.
Johnson has been very busy, as you might expect, getting ready for Saturday’s Northwest Tour race and the start of the weekly racing series on April 12.
I’m grateful he was willing to take a few minutes out to sit down with me. Nothing is firm right now, but I’d like to revisit him a couple times this season to see how his first year is progressing.
Those of you with sharp eyes and subscriptions to the paper will have noticed my Mickey Beadle articles did not run last weekend. Blame the Cougars and the Tips if you want, but that’s the way it goes sometimes.
Those stories will run in the near future and will also be posted on the Web.
