EVERETT — The Everett Merchants beat the Highline Bears 5-2 on Wednesday at Everett Memorial Stadium.
The Merchants’ offense was paced by Evan Johnson, who hit a two-run home run and finished with three runs batted in, and Travis Hagan, who recorded a run-scoring single.
Everett starting pitcher Lincoln Gilden allowed two runs in six innings, and escaped a bases-loaded, no-out jam with no runs allowed in the fourth inning.
The Merchants (7-1 overall) will play the Redmond Dudes at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
