SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Ava Mills fired a no-hitter to lead Mill Creek to a four-inning, 26-0 victory over Wyoming at the Little League Western Region softball tournament Sunday.
Mills struck out seven batters to help Mill Creek improve to 2-0 in the tournament and 10-0 overall.
Deirdre Delgado and Lauren Whitley each hit inside-the-park home runs as part of Mill Creek’s 26-hit attack.
Delgado, Whitley, Avery Hare, Sydney Warren, Amanda Wininger and Abby Pennylegion each recorded three hits.
Mill Creek faces Nevada at 5:30 p.m. Monday for its final pool-play game.
