Class AAA Tacoma Rainiers: Travis Blackley stood the Pacific Coast League on its ear early this season, and now he can’t get the ringing out of his own. The Mariners placed infielder Luis Ugueto on their inactive list, retroactive to Aug. 21, after he went home to Venezuela because of personal reasons.

Class AA San Antonio Missions: Shin-soo Choo remained one of the Texas League’s top hitters, with a .311 average that ranks fifth, 35 steals (fourth) and seven triples (second).

Right-handed pitcher Felix Hernandez, who dominated hitters at the Class A level early this season, is 4-1 with a 3.44 ERA after he pitched a complete-game three-hitter Thursday night against Wichita. He has 50 strikeouts in 521/3 innings with the Missions.
