PHILADELPHIA — Major League Baseball is going ahead with World Series Game 5.
Two days after Philadelphia and Tampa Bay were suspended after 5½ innings because of rain with the score 2-2, the game was set to resume at 5:37 p.m. PDT Wednesday, baseball spokesman Rich Levin said.
The game time temperature was forecast to be about 40 degrees — with a wind chill about 10 degrees colder.
Philadelphia leads the Series three games to one and was trying to wrap up its second title, its first since 1980. If the Rays win, Game 6 would be Thursday night in St. Petersburg, Fla.
