As the afternoon goes on it looks more and more likely that Pete Carroll will end up the next Seahawks head coach.
ESPN quotes a USC source saying Carroll to the Seahawks is “going down”. FoxSports.com’s Jay Glazer, who broke the story of Mora’s firing, says the Seahawks are offering “a significant amount of money” to Carroll.
Meanwhile, contrary to earlier reports, it sounds like Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier will in fact interview for the Seattle job. Interviewing Frazier would allow the Seahawks could satisfy the league’s Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview a minority candidate before making a hire.
