SHORELINE — Mount Vernon beat Meadowdale 4-3 tonight in a shootout in a loser-out Class 3A District 1 tournament girls soccer game at Shoreline Stadium.
Mount Vernon scored a goal in the final minute of the second half, tying it at 3-3. The teams played two scoreless five-minute overtime periods before Mount Vernon ended it by outscoring Meadowdale 5-3 in a shootout.
Meadowdale, the Western Conference South Division champion, ended its season with a record of 15-4.
