SYRACUSE, N.Y. _ After keeping it a mystery right up until minutes before tip-off, West Virginia coach Bob Huggins went with 6-foot-4 junior guard Casey Mitchell as the replacement for injured starter Darryl Bryant in Thursday’s game against Washington.
Bryant hurt his foot at practice earlier this week and is out for the season.
The Mountaineers have four starters 6-foot-7 or taller. UW has just one, 6-9 Matthew Bryan-Amaning.
