Murphy beats Sammamish 4-0 to keep state hopes alive

EVERETT — Christian Thode assisted on a Jensen Crissler goal in the 64th minute and then added a goal of his own in the 75th to lead Archbishop Murphy to a victory over Sammamish in a 2A District 1/2 consolation quarterifinal match. With the win the Wildcats advance to face the loser of Cedarcrest/Squalicum, Thursday at 5 p.m. at Civic Stadium.
