NBA Roundup: Cavs down 76ers 100-95

PHILADELPHIA — LeBron James had 23 points, 10 assists and six rebounds in his return from a two-game absence, and the Cleveland Cavaliers won for the 14th time in their last 19 road games with a 100-95 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.

James was in the starting lineup after missing the previous two with an injured right ankle, and the league’s leading scorer had his 26th double-double. He entered the game averaging 30.0 points, 8.5 assists and 7.2 rebounds.

Mo Williams added 21 points and Delonte West contributed 17 for the Cavaliers (51-15), who have the league’s best record.

Andre Iguodala led the Sixers with 30 points, Elton Brand added 24 and Thaddeus Young had 15.

Lakers 102, Suns 96

PHOENIX — Kobe Bryant had 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists — along with seven turnovers — but it was the all-around game of Los Angeles that led to an intense victory over Phoenix.

Bobcats 106, Clippers 98

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Stephen Jackson scored 24 points and the Bobcats held off a fourth-quarter rally to beat the struggling Clippers.

Celtics 122, Pacers 103

BOSTON — Paul Pierce scored 20 points and Rajon Rondo had 16 points and 11 assists in just three quarters as Boston snapped a two-game losing streak.

Heat 108, Bulls 95

MIAMI — Jermaine O’Neal scored a season-high 25 points, Quentin Richardson added 23 and Miami added to Chicago’s recent run of misery.

Spurs 103, Timberwolves 85

MINNEAPOLIS — Richard Jefferson had 19 points, nine rebounds and three assists in his first start in seven games to help San Antonio beat hapless Minnesota.

Thunder 104, Nets 102

OKLAHOMA CITY — Kevin Durant scored 32 points, his franchise-record 36th 30-point game this season, and Oklahoma City held off NBA-worst New Jersey for its 16th win in 19 games.

Pistons 101, Wizards 87

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Will Bynum had a career-best 20 assists, Jonas Jerebko scored 18 points, and Detroit beat Washington in a matchup of two of the Eastern Conference’s worst teams.

Nuggets 102, Hornets 95

NEW ORLEANS — Carmelo Anthony had 32 points and 12 rebounds, and Denver won its fifth straight.

Grizzlies 119, Knicks 112

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Zach Randolph had 24 points and 11 rebounds, and Memphis held on to beat New York.

Bucks 95, Jazz 87

MILWAUKEE — Ersan Ilyasova scored on a putback with 27.2 seconds remaining and Milwaukee knocked off yet another NBA powerhouse.

Trail Blazers 110, Kings 94

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Brandon Roy scored 28 points and Portland beat Sacramento for its third straight victory.

Carl Landry had 18 points and Francisco Garcia scored 17 for the Kings, who committed 20 turnovers and have dropped four of five. Jason Thompson scored 15 points, Beno Udrih had 13 and Tyreke Evans had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 18 points, Andre Miller had 15 and Nicolas Batum added 11 for Portland, which never let the lead dip close to single digits in an uninspired fourth quarter by both teams.
