SAN ANTONIO — Tony Parker scored 22 points, and Tim Duncan had 20 points and 12 rebounds to help San Antonio win its sixth straight game, 109-104 over Oklahoma City on Sunday night.
The Spurs led by 26 points in the first half before the Thunder cut it to two points in the final minute.
“You never want to be in that situation,” Parker said, “because it’s always dangerous. At the end it was kind of ugly, but we got the win and that’s the most important thing.”
Jeff Green led the Thunder, 2-23 after their seventh straight loss, with 33 points, and Kevin Durant had 28. The pair of second-year players combined to go 26-of-47 from the floor and scored 61 of the Thunder starters’ 70 points.
Matt Bonner added 17 points, and Roger Mason had 14 for the Spurs. They combined to make five 3-pointers in the first quarter when the Spurs took a 21-point lead that they pushed to 26 in the second quarter.
Hornets 99, Raptors 91
TORONTO — David West scored 29 points, James Posey made six 3-pointers and had 20 points, and the New Orleans Hornets beat the Toronto Raptors on Sunday for their eighth win in 10 games.
Rasual Butler added 16 points, and Chris Paul had 12 points and 12 assists for the Hornets. Chris Bosh had 25 points for Toronto.
Grizzlies 102, Heat 86
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — O.J. Mayo scored 28 points, and Rudy Gay added 18 to help Memphis win its fourth straight game, the Grizzlies’ longest winning streak since the final five games of the 2005-06 season.
Michael Beasley led Miami with 20 points. Dwyane Wade had 17 on 5-of-16 shooting.
Lakers 98, Timberwolves 86
LOS ANGELES — Kobe Bryant had 26 points and five assists, and the Los Angeles Lakers pulled away in the fourth quarter on Sunday night. Pau Gasol had 18 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, Andrew Bynum added 14 points and nine rebounds, and Trevor Ariza scored 14 points.
