Amy-Eloise Neale of Snohomish won the 2,000-meter steeplechase in the intermediate girls division Tuesday at the USA Track and Field National Junior Olympic Championships in Sacramento, Calif.
Neale completed the race in 7 minutes, 9.61 seconds. She finished 13 seconds ahead of the runner-up, Gabrielle Stearns of Iowa (7:22.78).
Neale will be a sophomore at Glacier Peak High School in the fall. She is the defending Class 3A state cross country champion.
