For those of you interested in the status of former Everett color commentator Dave Sheldon, he’s landed on his feet, being hired as the play-by-play broadcaster and media relations director of the Abbotsford Heat, the new AHL team just across the border.
Sheldon, who worked color commentary during Everett’s first three seasons, did not have his contract as the Vancouver Giants’ broadcaster and media relations director renewed at the end of the season. By moving just down the road to Abbotsford, Sheldon gets to stay local, as well as move into the ranks of professional hockey.
