BEAVERTON, ore. — Nike says it will host a running race August 31 that it bills as the world’s biggest one-day running event.
Nike has dubbed the event “The Human Race”. It will be held in 25 cities from Los Angeles to Tai Pei.
The company is also encouraging runners who are not in the major cities to participate using Nike equipment that allows them to share information and compete with other runners online.
Each city’s race will start on the same day and take runners by famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower or Istanbul’s Bosphorus Bridge.
