Aside from the Stealth dropping an 11-10 overtime loss to Minnesota on Saturday, there were plenty of other contests including Calgary taking back-to-back games from Edmonton in the Battle of Alberta.

Friday Night

Calgary 15, Edmonton 11

Roughnecks forward Dane Dobbie led the way with a six-point night (three goals, six assists) and Scott Ranger added four goals and two assists as Calgary forced the Rush to pull starting goaltender Matt Disher twice during the contest.

Philadelphia 11, Boston 5

The Blazers surprisingly dropped their third straight loss against a Philadelphia team led by forward Athan Iannucci’s four goals and two assists. Forward Alex Turner, who spent training camp with the Washington Stealth, added three goals, two assists as the Wings held Boston’s “Big 3” of Casey Powell, Dan Dawson and Josh Sanderson to a combined four goals and four assists.

Saturday Night

Calgary 12, Edmonton 11 (OT)

Calgary needed overtime to sweep the Battle of Alberta as Mark Scherman scored the game-winner 2:30 into overtime. Jeff Shattler added two goals and five assists; Curtis Dickson had a hat-trick for the Roughnecks. For winless Edmonton, Ryan Ward had four goals and Gavin Prout added two goals and three assists.

Boston 16, Rochester 7

The Blazers got back to .500 with a blowout of the Knighthawks. Casey Powell and Dan Dawson had four goals each and Josh Sanderson added six assists for the Blazers. First overall pick in the draft Cody Jamieson had four goals for Rochester.

Toronto 8, Buffalo 5

The Rock showcased another strong game with solid defense in a win over Buffalo. Colin Doyle had four goals for Toronto; no Buffalo player had more than one goal.

Philadelphia 12, Colorado 11

The Wings offense exploded for 10 first-half goals en route to a win over Colorado. The win was the second of the weekend for Philly. Athan Iannucci led the Wings with three goals and three assists. John Grant Jr. had two goals and six assists for the Mammoth.
