EUGENE, Ore. — Ashley Walker scored 23 points and No. 8 California defeated Oregon 65-50 on Saturday after forcing the Ducks into the worst first half at home in school history.
Alexis Gray-Lawson had 17 points and Natasha Vital added 13 for the Golden Bears (16-2, 7-0 Pac-10), who led 31-10 at halftime.
Cal, which ranks fourth in the nation in scoring defense at 52.1 points per game, trailed 8-7 before ending the first half on a 23-2 run.
The Ducks (7-11, 4-4) were 0-for-17 from the field over the final 12:41 of the first half, and didn’t score their first bucket of the second half until the 17:26 mark — going more than 15 minutes without a single point.
By the time Taylor Lilley finally ended the drought, Cal led 34-12.
