Neither team looks particularly good on offense. Washington isn’t running the ball well and Carl Bonnell has back-to-back interceptions. His balls look good – though without the zip of Isaiah Stanback’s – but Cal has really good defensive backs and it’s dangerous to throw against them. Cal simply doesn’t look good doing anything really, though the Huskies are playing some good defense. I don’t think anyone expected a defensive struggle.
If Washington can put up a good, time-consuming drive here, it will have been a really successful half.
