SEATTLE _ While the University of Washington football team breathed a sigh of relief when test results on the knee of starting quarterback Keith Price came up negative, the Huskies still don’t know who will be starting in Saturday’s game against Oregon State.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian said during a Tuesday conference call that “there is no structural damage to Keith’s knee” but added that he does not yet know whether Price will be available against the Beavers.
Redshirt freshman Nick Montana worked with the first team at Monday’s practice and would start at OSU if Price is not available.
Price injured his knee during the third quarter of Saturday’s loss at USC and did not return to the game. He has swelling in the knee, and as of early Tuesday afternoon Sarkisian was uncertain as to whether he would practice later in the day.
