ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The American Speed Association Aero Exhaust Northwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment is headed to “the fastest three-eighths mile oval on the West Coast” on Saturday, Aug. 9 when South Sound Speedway in Rochester, Wash., hosts the annual Miller 200.
This year, their will be race within the race as the Northwest Tour will award points to each tour regular according to their respective finishing position in the 200-lap main.
“We are excited to be a part of such a classic event as the Miller 200,” said NWT Director Ron Bennett. “This will be a first for the NWT and we will see how this format works for future considerations.”
All competitors, including the Northwest Tour drivers, will follow the Miller 200 rules package. South Sound Speedway officials will be in charge of tech and race procedures. There will be a evening practice from 4-10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8.
