Oak Harbor off to best start in 15 years

LAKE STEVENS – The Oak Harbor football team is off to its best start in 15 years.

The Wildcats scored two first-quarter touchdowns, leading to a 21-13 Wesco North victory over host Lake Stevens Friday night.

Oak Harbor is now 4-0 in league and 5-0 overall.

“We got out quick and then they (Lake Stevens) composed themselves and it was a pretty physical game,” Wildcats coach Dave Ward said. “It was a really smash-mouth football game from there on out.”
