• The Central Whidbey Sportsman’s Association is offering a Women’s Firearm Safety Class at 9 a.m. on Oct. 8. The class meets at the CWSA clubhouse, located 2.5 miles south of Coupeville on Safari Street. For more information, call Errol Ortego at 360-679-3887.
• Greg’s Custom Fishing Rods in Lake Stevens is offering a four-session Rod Building Class on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in October. Sessions are from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, 12, 18 and 19. The cost is $35 plus rod blank and components. To register, call 425-335-1391.
• The North Snohomish County Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) meets at 7 p.m. on Oct. 11 at Bayside Marine in Everett. The guest speaker will be Rob Tobeck, state vice president of the CCA.
