• The North Puget Sound Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is holding its annual Big Game Banquet from 4-10 p.m. on March 12 at Comcast Arena in Everett. The event includes games, raffles and auctions. For more information, call Al Barney at 425-353-3961.

• Greg’s Custom Fishing Rods in Lake Stevens is offering a four-session Fly Tying Class on Tuesday evenings in March. The class is for beginners. Sessions start at 6:30 p.m. on March 8, 15, 22 and 29. The cost is $50, which includes supplies. Preregistration is required. For more information, call 425-335-1391.

• Greg’s Custom Fishing Rods in Lake Stevens is offering a four-session Rod Building Class in March. Sessions start at 6:30 p.m. on March 16, 17, 23 and 24. The cost is $35 plus blank and components. Preregistration is required. For more information, call 425-335-1391.

• The North Snohomish County Coastal Conservation Association Banquet is scheduled for March 5 at the Everett Holiday Inn (3105 Pine Street). Tickets are $65 for an individual or $120 for a couple. Tickets are available at Bayside Marine in Everett, John’s Sporting Goods in Everett, Greg’s Custom Rods in Lake Stevens, and Hook, Line and Sinker in Smokey Point. • The Washington Outdoor Women (WOW) are offering an introduction to Waterfowling workshop on April 2 at a private hunting club in Monroe. The fee is $90 and includes instruction, equipment, shotguns, ammunition, clays, breakfast and lunch. A hunting license is not required. Registration closes March 21.
