1. Ike Diogu, Arizona State: The best returning big man in the conference. If he wants a rebound, it’s best to let him take it.
2. Salim Stoudamire, Arizona: Can score from anywhere; shot selection has improved this year.
3. Luke Jackson, Oregon: Only Pac-10 player ranked in the top 10 in points, rebounds, assists and steals.
4. Amit Tamir, Cal: Devastating outside shooter who also can bang inside.
5. Hassan Adams, Arizona: Athletic swingman can both lead the break and finish with a roar.
1. Arizona. Only question is inside depth.
2. Stanford. Not flashy, but very efficient and well coached.
3. Cal. Watch out for newcomer Leon Powe.
4. USC. Lead the league in sets of twins (two).
5. Oregon. No Ridnour and questions about rebounding.
6. Arizona State. It’s Diogu and then …?
7. Washington. Deep, deep backcourt, but interior presence lacks.
8. UCLA. Not even Howland can do it overnight.
9. Washington State. Bennett comes out of retirement for this?
10. Oregon State. No seniors, no proven inside players, little experience. Ugh.
