The NLL also handed out its Week 4 Players of the Week awards on Wednesday. Toronto Rock forward Josh Sanderson was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week as he posted hat-tricks in both of Toronto’s two victories last weekend.
Edmonton Rush goalkeeper Aaron Bold was named the Defensive Player of the Week for saving 43 of the 48 shots he faced in a 16-5 victory over the Washington Stealth last Saturday at Comcast Arena.
Andrew Suitor of Minnesota was also named the league’s Transition Player of the Week and Jordan MacIntosh won his first Rookie of the Week Award.
The monthly and weekly player award winners are selected by a vote of the league’s general managers and head coaches.
