LEXINGTON, Ohio — Paul Tracy will fill in for Mario Moraes during the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio following the death of Moraes’ father in Brazil.
KV Racing Technology announced the switch on Friday.
Tracy has made four starts for KV Racing this season, including a sixth at Edmonton two weeks ago and a ninth-place finish in the Indy 500. He won at Mid-Ohio in 2003 while driving in the Champ Car Series. The race is Sunday.
Moraes is 17th in the points in his second full season on the series, with two top-10 finishes. His father, Mario Ermirio de Moraes, died on Wednesday.
