Lot’s of laughs to be had around Seahawks headquarters today (and that’s not including whatever ESPN’s Kenny Mayne is coming up with while talking to players right now).
First, Pete Carroll showed he’s not taking the playoffs too seriously, answering a phone call in the middle of his press conference. And it wasn’t his phone, but rather that of a reporter, who was using his phone to record the press conference. When the phone started vibrating, Carroll decided to answer. You can watch the video at NFL.com.
Also, Marshawn Lynch, whose 67-yard run caused so much fan noise that it registered on a seismograph, was asked if he needs to give a public service announcement about what can happen when he carries the ball.
“I wouldn’t be no good at that, man,” he said. “What do they tell you? Get under a table or get under a doorway. Other than that, don’t be up underneath something. . . When the Seahawks show up, take cover. That sounds a little better.”
And finally, as expected, Lofa Tatupu (concussion) was the only player who missed Wednesday’s practice. For the Bears, only CB Charles Tillman missed practice, though it was a non-injury absence.
