The votes are in and there’s a lack of consensus.
The Seattle Seahawks open their rookie minicamp Friday, with the team’s draft picks, rookie free-agent signings and invited players gathering for three days of familiarizing themselves with the organization and trying to impress the Seahawks’ brass.
Our poll question this week asked about which rookie people were most interested in following at rookie minicamp. With the Seahawks not having a first-round pick after trading back, and with Seattle not taking a high-profile skill-position player until well into its draft, there wasn’t that one rookie who would have been the obvious choice of the fans.
And that’s how the voting played out. Here’s the results:

Griffin, the first of Seattle’s four third-round picks, garnered the most votes, but not by much. That makes a certain amount of sense, considering the combination of DeShawn Shead’s knee injury and the trade buzz that’s swirled around Richard Sherman has made cornerback a position under the spotlight for the Seahawks — as well as the fact that second rounders McDowell and Pocic are interior linemen and thus perhaps a little less sexy.
The “Other” category received a fair share of the vote — I wish Twitter allowed for more than four options on polls. Unfortunately, I don’t know specifically which “Other” those voters were interested in, given that none of the responders mentioned a name other than those given in the poll.
