SEATTLE — Washington senior forward Quincy Pondexter was named the Pac-10 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 11-17 Monday.
The senior forward from Fresno, Calif., averaged 26.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in the Huskies’ victories over Stanford and California.
During Thursday’s 94-61 win over the Cardinal, Pondexter had 27 points and 10 rebounds to help the Huskies snap a three-game losing streak.
In Saturday’s 84-69 victory over Cal, Pondexter had 25 points and pulled down five boards, going 11-for-11 from the free throw line.
For the season, Pondexter averages 20.3 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game, and 1.53 steals per game, while shooting 83 percent from the foul line.
