ARLINGTON — Kyle Bayer’s two-run double was the big blow in a six-run sixth inning for the Eagles, and Arlington’s defense cut down the potential tying run at the plate to end the non-conference game on Wednesday.
With one run already across for Monroe (0-1-1) in the top of the seventh inning, JJ Jerome doubled into the right-center field gap. Arlington’s Drew Kalahar tracked the ball down and fired to second baseman Peter Chung, who delivered a perfect relay throw to Garrett Wiseman at the plate for the out.
