MILL CREEK — The Bruins scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning on a walk to Austin Pinorini, a fielder’s choice by Brennen Hancock and a sacrfice fly by Michael Carter to take a 7-6 lead in their Wesco 4A opener on Wednesday.
Pinorini gave up consecutive singles to the first two batters in the bottom of the seventh, but struck out the next three batters to end the game.
Carter was 2-for-3 with two RBI in the game for Cascade.
Alex Cheesman went 3-for-4 with two RBI for Jackson.
