MOUNT VERNON — Jackson’s Colton Faddis pitched 31/3 innings after Timberwolves starting pitcher Justin Hardman was knocked out of the game in the first inning when he was hit in the foot by a line drive and the ball bounced up and hit him in the face.
Faddis (1-0) allowed one run on three hits while striking out two and walking one.
Payton Shepard was 3-for-3 and Jeremy Martin was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Jackson.
