SNOHOMISH — Meadowdale exploded for seven runs in the seventh inning against Glacier Peak’s bullpen to break open what was a tie game entering the final inning.
The Mavericks (1-0 league, 1-4 overall) garnered their first win of the season with the 10-3 Wesco 3A victory.
Riley Bykonen batted 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI and Tyler Ackerman was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI for the Mavericks.
Meadowdale’s Sam Triece shut out Glacier Peak through five innings.
The Mavericks were able to build a 3-0 lead before the Grizzlies answered with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Dane Larsen finished 1-for-3 with a home run to lead Glacier Peak (0-1, 1-2).
