LYNNWOOD — Meadowdale senior catcher Parker Coffey’s three-run home run in the fourth inning proved to be the difference in the Mavericks’ win over Shorewood in a tightly-contested Wesco 3A South game on Wednesday.
Garrett Walsh pitched six innings and picked up his third win of the year. Jacob Hunnewell went 2-for-3 on the afternoon.
For Shorewood, Arthur Pate went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Harrison Jacobs, Spencer Jacobs, and Max Wagner also doubled for the Thunderbirds. Despite the loss, Shorewood remains in first place.
