MONROE — Monroe junior Jared Cogar needed just 78 pitches to throw a two-hitter as the Bearcats defeated Kamiak in Wesco 4A baseball on Wednesday.
Cogar did not walk a batter and only once got to a three-ball count.
Sophomore Justin Folz was the hitting star for Monroe going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Senior Andrew Zimmerman contributed two hits and two RBI.
