Wesco South 3A/2A

Edmonds-Woodway 10, Lynnwood 0 (5)

EDMONDS — Pitcher William Alseth faced just 15 hitters in a run-rule-shortened perfect game in which the junior delivered four strikeouts for Edmonds-Woodway (13-6 overall, 8-2 league). The Warriors weren’t shy in run-support on Alseth’s big day, going 10-for-20 with seven stolen bases. Finn Crawford (2-for-2, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 runs) and Erik Alsdorf (2-for-4, SB, RBI, 2 runs) were the only Warriors to score multiple runs. The win keeps the Warriors level with Shorewood at 8-2 for the league lead. Lynnwood dropped to 3-16 (2-10 league) in the loss.

Shorecrest 4, Mountlake Terrace 2

SHORELINE — The Scots (12-6, 6-4) rode a three-run first inning to a pivotal win for the league’s third-place spot against the Hawks (8-10, 5-5). Elyas Rojas (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI) and David Telling (1-for-3, 2B, RBI) each doubled in the first to bring in a run, and both of the Scots’ extra-base hits on the day. Telling also pitched a complete game, striking out three and allowing four hits. Jack Gripentrog (1-for-3, 2B, run) doubled for Mountlake Terrace’s only extra-base hit of the game.

Wesco 4A

Cascade 8, Arlington 6

ARLINGTON — The Bruins (4-13, 1-7) scored four runs in the seventh inning to notch their first league victory and split their season series with the Eagles (8-10, 4-4). Dean Davis (1-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI) was the only Bruin to record an extra-base hit with his first-inning double as Cascade jumped out to a 3-0 lead. The Eagles did a majority of their scoring in the second, putting up five runs as Billy Kooy (2-for-3, 2 RBI) and Jace Graham (1-for-2, 2 RBI, run) each brought in two runs on singles. Derek Rodriguez (2-for-4, 2 RBI, 2 runs) led Cascade’s offense and, thanks to an Arlington error, helped tie the game up in the seventh. Cascade pitcher Steven Wilson earned the save, striking out four of the eight batters he faced.

Lake Stevens 3, Jackson 2

MILL CREEK — The Vikings’ (12-5, 7-1) three first-inning runs proved to be enough to earn a key road win over the Timberwolves (12-5, 4-4). Julian Wilson (2-for-3, RBI), Josh Bouley (0-for-4, RBI, run) and Kellen Gadin (0-for-3, RBI) all brought in a run in that first frame for Lake Stevens while Luke Morris struck out eight and allowed eight hits in six innings pitched. Quinten Johns (3-for-3, 2B, 2 runs) accounted for a large portion of Jackson’s offense on the day, which went 8-for-29. The win pulls Lake Stevens even with Kamiak for the league lead with two Wesco 4A games to play.

Wesco North 3A/2A

Marysville Getchell 5, Marysville Pilchuck 3

MARYSVILLE — The Chargers (4-14, 1-8) managed their first league win thanks to solid plate discipline leading to seven drawn walks. No Charger had more than one hit, but Marysville Getchell’s stars made time on the base path count. Cooper Agen (0-for-2, 5 SB, 2 runs) stole five bases while Michael Bertapelle (1-for-3, 2 runs) scored twice himself. Agen also pitched a complete game, striking out four while allowing five hits. Jake Skarwicki (2-for-4, RBI, run) was the only player in the game to record both an RBI and a run as Marysville Pilchuck fell to 0-17 (0-9 league).

Everett 11, Snohomish 1 (6)

EVERETT — Nine fourth-inning runs from fourth-place Everett (7-12, 6-3) turned a close game into a run-rule win over the second-place Snohomish (13-7, 6-3). The Seagulls drew nine walks to score double-digit runs on just seven hits. Everett ace Owen Brunni pitched all six innings, striking out six Panthers while allowing five hits and no earned runs. Dylan Hutchinson (2-for-2, SB, run) scored the lone run for Snohomish.

Non-league

Meadowdale 5, Kamiak 1

MUKILTEO — A 10-K, one-hit effort from Meadowdale pitcher Kealoha Kepo’o-Sabate (5.2 IP) pushed the Mavericks (6-12) to a solid win over the Knights (13-4). Five different Mavericks scored and Vinny Pena (2-for-3, 2B, RBI, run) was the only run-scorer to bring in an RBI. Colby Koga (0-for-3, SB, run) was the lone scorer for Kamiak.

Shorewood 9, Monroe 3

SHORELINE — Seven runs in the third and fourth innings combined created a Shorewood (13-5) lead that Monroe (6-11) couldn’t overcome. The Stormrays were powered by strong base-running, as they stole 10 bases as a team. Joey Facilla (2-for-3, 3B, RBI, 2 runs) tripled in the fourth to highlight the strong mid-game stretch. The Stormrays also defended by committee, employing five pitchers as Monroe went 7-for-27. Caleb Campbell led the Bearcats offense, going 2-for-3 and stealing three bases en route to scoring two runs.

Stanwood 10, Archbishop Murphy 2

EVERETT — Stanwood (15-3) shut off Archbishop Murphy’s (12-7) offense completely after a 2-2 first inning to win comfortably. TJ McQuery (2-for-4, 2B, 5 RBI) brought in half of the Spartans’ scores while pitcher Tanner Requa earned the win by striking out four in three innings. Corban Forslund (1-for-2, 2 runs) drew three walks as the Spartans were walked nine times. Cole McCourt (3-for-4, run) led Archbishop Murphy on an 8-for-30 day where the Wildcats weren’t walked once.

Sultan 4, Blaine 3

SULTAN — The Turks (6-10) overcame a 3-1 fifth-inning deficit thanks to a one-hitter from pitcher Kaden Koehler (1 H, 3 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 10 K). Braydon Davis (3-for-4, 2 runs) was the only Sultan runner to score multiple times while Hunter Ansell (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI, run) hit a clutch RBI-single on a bunt to start the comeback.

Emerald Sound

University Prep 5, King’s 4

SHORELINE — Four late runs from the Pumas doomed King’s (10-5, 5-3), which remains at third in the league. Brandon McCann (2-for-4, 2B, RBI, run) and Luke Echelbarger (0-for-4, RBI, run) were the only Knights to bring in a run and score themselves.
