EVERETT — Quinten Johns pitched five innings of three-hit, shutout ball, and also went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI from the leadoff spot in the Timberwolves’ batting order as Jackson improved to 3-0. Timberwolves second baseman Gavin Clark went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs. For Terrace (0-1), Charlie Schofield went 2-for-3.
Shorecrest 10, Cascade 2
SHORELINE — Koen Ekstrom went 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI while fellow Scots Truman Clough (double, RBI) and Brooks Murray (2 RBI) contributed as Shorecrest won its season opener. Logan Crosson drove in both runs for Cascade (1-2).
