OAK HARBOR — The Oak Harbor Wildcats boys basketball team was able to hang around with the Glacier Peak Grizzlies for half of a Wesco 3A game on Wednesday night, trailing just 30-25 at halftime. Then in the third quarter the Grizzlies proved why they haven’t lost a league game and sit at the top of the standings.
The Grizzlies outscored the Wildcats 15-8 in the quarter and went on to a 55-44 win.
Glacier Peak was led by the 17 points of Jack Bonner, who also grabbed seven rebounds. Dylan Vargas also chipped in 15 points, including four 3s for the Grizzlies.
Oak Harbor’s Michael Washington Jr. led all scorers with 19 points and Denzel Massey chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.
