Prep boys lacrosse: Bothell 18, Shorecrest 7

BOTHELL — Stuart MacDonald scored four goals and Sean Hanrahan had three, and Bothell jumped all over Shorecrest in the first period and never looked back on the way to a boys high school lacrosse win over the Highlanders Friday at Bothell High School.

The Cougars jumped out to a 5–0 lead after the first then added another eight goals in the second while giving up just a pair for a 13-2 halftime lead. The Cougars added another four in the third to take a 17–3 lead into the final quarter. Shorecrest finally got rolling in the last set with four goals of its own but never really got on track.

Shorecrest had five goals from Ian Prieve. The junior midfielder also had four ground balls. Sophomore attackman Cole Hoffstrand and senior midfielder Simon Acker rounded out the scoring for the Highlanders with a goal apiece. Goaltender Ben Joyal, a junior at Shorewood, recorded five saves.
