Prep boys soccer: Mariner 3, Stanwood 1

STANWOOD — Mariner’s Yahir Sandoval assisted a Carlos Rodriguez goal (12th minute) and scored one of his own, his 15th of the season, in the 26th minute from 25 yards out after dribbling through two Stanwood defenders. Carlos Rodriguez scored Mariner’s remaining goal in the 21st minute of the Wesco 4A game off a Christian Robles assist. Stanwood’s goal came from Logan Flem in the 23rd minute. In goal for Mariner (7-2 league, 9-2 overall) was Ulises Hernandez. Nate Schoen was the keeper for Stanwood (2-8, 3-8).
