EDMONDS — Marysville Getchell’s Javier Gomez Mora-Rey opened the second half with a 50-yard goal — his second of the game — that snuck in just below the crossbar and helped seal Marysville Getchell’s Wesco 3A win.
The goal, which came right off the opening kickoff and took about eight seconds, left quite an impression on Chargers’ head coach Geoff Kittle.
“It was the most incredible goal I’ve ever seen,” said Kittle, who added that he’s been coaching for 15 years. “He just basically looked up and hit it.”
