Prep boys soccer: Mount Vernon 2, Lynnwood 1

LYNNWOOD — Mount Vernon’s Humberto Garza and Junior Fajardo each scored a goal in the second half as the Bulldogs eliminated Lynnwood from the 4A District 1/2 Tournament. Mount Vernon travels to play Snohomish on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs are the only team to beat the Panthers this season.
